Skandagiri

Picture this: a crisp Saturday morning, three adventurous friends, and a thrilling bike ride. Our destination? The stunning Skandagiri hill, a mere 60 kilometers from Bengaluru. The excitement was palpable as we left the city at 3:30 AM, determined not to miss the breathtaking sunrise awaiting us. One essential tip: book your tickets in advance to ensure you secure your spot. We had our tickets sorted a week before our trek. If you plan a weekend adventure, it's best to follow suit. You can conveniently book your tickets using this link: Karnataka Eco-Tourism.

Skandagiri stands tall at an altitude of 1350 meters, making the trek a moderate to difficult one. The ideal time to embark on this adventure is between September and January when the weather is just perfect. The trek covers a distance of 8 kilometers round trip, and it typically takes 4 to 5 hours for the entire journey.

The true magic of Skandagiri, however, lies in its sunrise. After witnessing the sky's canvas change colors and bask in the beauty of the new day, we continued our exploration of the hilltop. That's when we stumbled upon three large stones, creating a perfect backdrop for our unforgettable photos. With these memories captured, we soaked in the heavenly feeling atop the hill. The Skandagiri trek offers a captivating experience of nature's beauty. So, if you're seeking an adventure that promises stunning sights and an unmatched sunrise, it's time to pack your bags and set off for Skandagiri!
